Antimony oxide is a pure white ultra-fine powder in cubic crystal system. It is the most stable compound of antimony, with the molecular weight 291.5 and melting point 656ºC, cubic crystal type (a stable type) has the density of 5.3g/cm³. Antimony trioxide is also named antimony white, and belongs to amphoteric oxide. It is insoluble in water, ethanol, dilute sulfuric acid, dilute nitric acid, but soluble in concentrated hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, alkali, and tartaric acid.
